    Our Myopia Treatments

Our doctors at Treehouse Eyes use state-of-the-art equipment to develop a personalized treatment plan based on the initial consultation and will determine what treatment works best for your child. Some of our non-invasive treatments include overnight contact lenses, daytime soft contact lenses, and special prescription eye drops.

Overnight contact lenses are specially designed to be worn at night only and are customized to fit the eyes of each child, so that they gently and comfortably reshape the front surface of the eye at night, reducing the progression of myopia. Moreover, your child will be able to see during the day without the need for glasses or regular contact lenses.

Alternatively, daytime soft contact lenses are designed to be worn in the morning and removed each night. They have a special optical design to reduce the progression of myopia while continuing to provide your child with clear vision throughout the day.

If your child is wearing glasses or contact lenses during the day, your child may be prescribed eye drops formulated to a specific concentration to reduce the progression of myopia. The eye drops are to be applied at night before bed per the schedule recommended by your Treehouse Eyes doctor.

Benefits of Myopia Care for Kids

Myopia has become increasingly more common in children, especially in younger children, and is progressing more rapidly. We believe that the use of non-invasive treatments and early intervention is key to slowing down and potentially stopping the progression of myopia. Wearing glasses without any myopia care or treatment may only help your child’s blurry vision, but it doesn’t stop their vision from deteriorating nor does it decrease the risks of potentially developing serious eye diseases, such as retinal disease and glaucoma.
