Originally from Beijing, Dr. Maria Liu is a highly respected eye doctor and myopia management pioneer with a global reputation for her expertise in myopia control and ocular health. After earning her degree from Peking University, she practiced in China before relocating to the United States. Dr. Liu has successfully treated thousands of myopic children and leads cutting-edge research and clinical care in the field of myopia management. Dr. Liu holds four advanced degrees, underscoring her deep academic and clinical expertise. Her broad experience includes teaching pharmacology, specialty contact lenses, ocular disease, and evidence-based optometry.
